Het Residentie Orkest opent traditiegetrouw het nieuwe seizoen tijdens het feestelijke Prinsjesdagconcert. Dit jaar gaan we voor Franse flair en muzikale verleiding. Violiste Noa Wildschut, al jaren een van Nederlands geliefdste solisten, schittert in Saint-Saëns’ sprankelende Derde vioolconcert. Zo openen we een nieuw muzikaal seizoen met licht, warmte en een bruisende knipoog naar de Franse opera.
Het Prinsjesdagconcert draait dit jaar om kleur, karakter en theatrale spanning. Saint-Saëns combineert virtuositeit met Franse elegantie, perfect voor Wildschuts warme klank en communicatieve flair. Daarna nemen we je mee naar de wereld van Bizets Carmen in de schitterende orkestsuites van Bizet: zinderende dans en natuurlijk de onmiskenbare Toreador-melodie. Gastdirigent Andrew Grams brengt het geheel soepel tot leven, uiteraard met het nodige gevoel voor drama… Perfect voor deze Haagse nationale feestdag.

The Residentie Orkest traditionally opens the new season with the festive Prinsjesdag Concert. This year, we are embracing French flair and musical seduction. Violinist Noa Wildschut, one of the Netherlands’ most beloved soloists for many years, shines in Saint-Saëns’ sparkling Third Violin Concerto. Together, we open a new musical season filled with light, warmth, and a vibrant nod to French opera.
This year’s Prinsjesdag Concert is all about colour, character, and theatrical excitement. Saint-Saëns combines virtuosity with French elegance, perfectly suited to Wildschut’s warm tone and expressive style. Afterwards, we take you into the world of Bizet’s Carmen with his magnificent orchestral suites: passionate dances and, of course, the unmistakable Toreador melody. Guest conductor Andrew Grams brings the music to life with ease and, naturally, a strong sense of drama… The perfect match for this Dutch national celebration in The Hague.
